Das 10. Oldie Turnier in der Paradeismühle

Das 10. Oldie Turnier wurde vom 14. bis 16. Juni 2013 in Klingenberg am Main im Hotel Paradeismühle ausgetragen.

Elo Grenze: U1700 (lt. Wiki-Elo-Liste)
Bedingung: Geräte bis Baujahr 1983

Als Novum gab es 2013 bereits das 2. Turnier in Klingenberg! Steffen hatte beim letzten Mal so viel Freude, dass er spontan ein weiteres Turnier organisierte :) Der Termin lag zu Beginn der Sommerferien, was sich leider als nicht so günstig erwies - die Teilnehmerzahl lag unter der sonst üblichen :( Allerdings verlief das Treffen erfreulich positiv (was natürlich an den gutgelaunten und kompetenten Teilnehmern lag) und das gute Wetter trug seinen Teil zu einem sehr gelungenen Wochenende bei. Auch die Auswahl der Compis erwies sich als Treffer und wir hatten viel Spaß an den nicht immer nachzuvollziehenden Zügen unserer Lieblinge...

Info: Ein Fehler bei der Geräte-Auswahl

Im Turnier sollten Geräte unterschiedlicher Programmierer starten, u. a. war Cyrus von R. Lang vorgesehen. Als Gerät kam der Chess King Master von 1983 in Frage, der bis auf die Farbe identisch wie der Chess King Triomphe aussieht. Wir haben beide Geräte als identisch angesehen (Triomphe war für den französischen Markt) und gaben es Ute ;)

Im Turnier sah der Triomphe leider kein Land und eine nächtliche Recherche zeigte, dass der Triomphe nur ein 4K-Modell (Master mit 8K ROM) ist und wohl ein Danielsen Programm beinhaltet. Für die Stichrunde am Sonntag bekam Ute dann einen echten Cyrus und konnte gleich einen Sieg gegen den MM I einfahren. Ohne unseren Fauxpas wäre das Turnier wohl noch enger geworden...

Anekdote: Der Steinitz und sein Zeit-Management

Beim Steinitz wurde in Runde 1 die variable Spielzeit mit 60 Zügen in 30 Minuten eingestellt, er zog aber viel zu schnell (< 10 Sek), auch 20/40 brachte keine Änderung. Ab Runde 2 lief er dann auf Stufe 2 (ca. 15 Sek/Zug) und war deutlich besser. In der ersten Partie gegen den Constellation kam er klar in Vorteil, wollte aber für die Flucht aus einem Dauerschach keinen Bauern hergeben. Als die Partie für uns schon Remis war, versuchte er sogar ins feindliche Lager zu entkommen und wurde prompt Matt gesetzt - vielleicht die aberwitzigste Partie des Turniers ;)

In der Finalrunde wurde jeweils um Platz 1+2, 3+4 und 5+6 gespielt, die Gegner traten mit umgekehrten Farben wie aus dem Vorrundenspiel an.
