Die 14. Online Aktivschach Weltmeisterschaft 2018 brachte einen völlig neuen, spannenden Modus mit sich. Von Dezember 2017 bis zum 6. Mai 2018 traten 19 Teilnehmer mit stolzen 35 Geräten an. Das Turnier startete in 7 Vorrunden-Gruppen, aus denen sich die besten Geräte für eine anschließende K.O.-Phase (ab Achtelfinale) qualifizierten. Am Ende dieses harten Marathons setzte sich der Fidelity Elite V11 68060 100 MHz im Finale durch und sicherte sich die Weltmeisterkrone.
The 14th Online Active Chess World Championship 2018 introduced a completely new and exciting format. From December 2017 to May 6, 2018, 19 participants competed with an impressive 35 devices. The tournament started with 7 preliminary groups, from which the best devices qualified for a subsequent knockout phase (starting from the Round of 16). At the end of this tough marathon, the Fidelity Elite V11 68060 100 MHz prevailed in the final and secured the World Champion crown.
Teilnehmer & Geräte / Operators and Machines

Modus / Mode
- Vorrunde:
- Spielstufe: 30 Sekunden pro Zug.
- Rundenturnier (Farbwechsel).
- Platz 1 + 2 pro Gruppe sowie die 2 besten Drittplatzierten qualifizieren sich für das Achtelfinale.
- Bei Punktgleichstand zählen die mehr erzielten Siege. Herrscht weiterhin Gleichstand, greift die Feinwertung bzw. es folgen 2 Blitzpartien (5 Minuten für die komplette Partie mit Farbwechsel).
- K.O.-Runde:
- Spielstufe: 30 Minuten pro Partie.
- 2 Partien pro Runde mit Farbwechsel.
- Bei Gleichstand erfolgen 2 Blitzpartien (5 Minuten für die komplette Partie mit Farbwechsel).
